Christmas crafting with the kids so far this year has consisted of for example making hanging orange adornments with cloves as well as "mandelmassa" (alond mass) figures. Both good craftings to be done together with the kids.

The kids thought it was a little tricky to stick the blunt cloves though and it hurt a little on the fingers. But they where fastly made.

I helped with the silk ribbons and then we hang them up in the kids room, so now it smells a little christmasy in their space.

We decorated the rosemary tree at the kitchen window with small christmas ornaments, it's looking really cozy. There's also an amaryllis that we follow each day. It seems to be three stemmed and will probably survive fourth advent.

To confectionery I prefer "mandelmassa" (50% almond and 50% sugar) before marzipan (25% almond and 75% sugar), which I think is way too sweet.

Mandelmassa är kanske lite svårare att forma, då det torkar snabbare. Men med en liten sats delat på två vuxna och två barn blir det lagom stor aktivitet ändå.
"Mandelmassa" is a bit more difficult to form, since it dries up faster. But with a small set divided for two adults and two children it makes a farily decent size activity anyway.

We made pigs, santa's caps, worms (guess who) etc. Then we whole dipped them in really dark chocolade. Once finished we put them out on the balcony for drying them faster.

Someone happened to say "hope the crows don't take them". Then the kids took turns standing on a chair guarding the sweets.

This is how nice the santa's clauses and pigs became. Kids didn't really like the strong chocloade, however so much more the adults.
